The 2022 HSMT Postgraduate conference will take place over two days, Thursday 16 and Friday 17 June in the Lecture Theatre, Faculty of History.
The conference showcases the work in progress of our masters and first year DPhil students. This will be the first HSMT conference held in person since 2019. The group plans to present ‘A Theatre of Knowledge’ with a very eclectic mix of topics. These have been grouped into six broad areas namely:
- Empire
- Environment
- Memory & the Mind
- Public Health
- Contesting & Shaping Science
- Technology and Bodies
The conference will be opened by Mark Harrison, Professor of the History of Medicine, and each session will be chaired by postgraduates within the department. We hope it will prove to be a stimulating and thought-provoking conference.
Lunch will be provided on Thursday - registration is required for both days
